Have you found a Revolutionary Patriot in your family tree? Do you wonder if you are eligible for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Sons of the American Revolution, or if your children or grandchildren may join the Children of the American Revolution.

You can learn more during a presentation about these lineage societies at the WVGS meeting on May 13, 2013. LaVonne will discuss what the application looks like, the information requested, the proofs required and how to prepare a work sheet that is used to prepare the application.

If you are uncertain if your ancestor is eligible to be considered as a Patriot, LaVonne will discuss the qualifications and assist interested members in assessing their eligibility.

In addition to being an active member of the WVGS, LaVonne is a 33 year member of DAR. She has held numerous local, regional and national offices in the DAR organization. LaVonne’s enthusiasm about DAR is contagious. This program promises to be interesting and informative.
