  Few Americans had a probate file.  Mr. Darrah will describe what other records exist to cover deaths and its effects.

   Ron Darrah was born in West Virginia but he has been an Indiana resident since 1972.  He earned a BS degree from Kent State University in 1967. 

    He is a former sixth grade teacher in Cleveland, Ohio.  Until retirement, Mr. Darrah was Supervisor of Warehousing for the Indianapolis Public Schools, also having served as a Technical Sargeant in the Indiana Air National Guard.

    Ron is the founding Executive Director of the Genealogical  Society of Marion County; Head  Librarian for the GSMC;  Chairman of the Indiana Genealogical Society affiliate, Society of Civil War Families in Indiana;  Patriot Grave Chair  and Genealogist/Registrar of the Clarence Cook Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution; a genealogical researcher for 20+ years; and author of several genealogical publications.
