As part of the Indiana Bicentennial celebration, the Lost Creek Community Grove showcases the historic Lost Creek Settlement. Descendants of the pre-Civil War African-American settlers, is not familiar to most Hoosiers. The sharing all of Indiana’s diverse history and culture is important to make available to generations of Hoosiers. Join us on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. to learn about this community through historical documents, photographs, genealogy records, quilts, antiques and more. Presenting families include Anderson, Bass, Harris, Norton and Russell. Refreshments will be served.

About The Lost Creek Grove Restoration and Preservation Foundation, Inc.
Established in the early 1900s, the Lost Creek Grove served as a place for recreation and a gathering place for the community. Today, the founders' legacy of community building lives on by providing a serene venue for family reunions, clubs, receptions etc., and also by preserving the history of the community and genealogy of its families. This year, The Grove celebrates 70 years as a formal organization.
