This presentation will cover the history of West Terre Haute as well as the discovery process Mr. Crumrin used in researching the West Terre Haute area and its families. 

Mr. Crumrin served 25 years as historian and director at Conner Prairie Museum,  retiring in 2014 to open his own consulting firm.   From 1992-1996 he was Adjunct Professor of History at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.  He holds an BA (Summa Cum Laude) in European History and a Masters in American History from Indiana State University.  He has written or edited over 35 scholarly publications and made numerous presentations at conferences sponsored by the Organization of American Historians and the Indiana Historical Society, among others.    In addition to winning two national awards of merit from the American Association of State and Local History, he received a national Telly award as writer and director of the PBS documentary, Harvesting the Past.

In 2014 received the prestigious Eli Lilly Lifetime Achievement in Indiana History Award.

He is President and Principle Consultant of the Historiker Consulting Group, a historical consulting firm dedicated to telling the STORY of history.
